Florida Real Estate Education Overview – The Eagle Learning Institute

Florida Real Estate Pre-Licensing Education (63 Hours)

To qualify for a Florida real estate sales associate license, the Florida Real Estate Commission (FREC) requires successful completion of a 63-hour Pre-Licensing course from an approved provider.

Reporting:
The state does not require schools to report Pre-Licensing course completions. Students must submit their certificate of completion with their license application.

Course Expiration:
All Florida Pre-Licensing courses from The Eagle Learning Institute expire six months from the date of purchase.

Certificates:
Upon course completion, an electronic certificate of completion is immediately available for download in your student dashboard. You should keep this certificate for your licensing application and personal records.

Florida Real Estate Sales Associate Post-Licensing Education (45 Hours)

Florida requires all newly licensed real estate sales associates to complete 45 hours of Post-Licensing education within 18–24 months after obtaining their initial license.

All Post-Licensing courses must be completed and reported to the Florida Real Estate Commission (FREC) before your license expiration date. Please allow enough time for both course completion and reporting to avoid your license going inactive.

Florida Real Estate Continuing Education (CE – 14 Hours Every 2 Years)

Florida real estate licensees must complete 14 hours of Continuing Education every two years. Your renewal deadline will fall on either March 31 or September 30, depending on your license cycle.
