Pre-Licensing Education Requirements:

The state of Oklahoma requires completion of 90 hours of approved pre-licensing education.

Applicants with felony convictions as outlined in Title 59, Sections 858-301.1 or 858-4000.1 may be restricted from obtaining an Oklahoma Real Estate License for a specified period of time. For clarification, applicants should review the applicable statutes and contact the Oklahoma Real Estate Commission directly. Preapproval may be requested prior to enrolling in a pre-licensing course.

Individuals who are not permanent U.S. citizens are encouraged to verify their eligibility through the Commission’s website prior to enrolling.

Course Offering: 90 hours of required education
Reporting: The state does not require course providers to report completion. Students are responsible for submitting their certificate with their license application.
Course Expiration: Access is valid for six (6) months from the date of purchase. Extensions are not available beyond this timeframe.
Certificates of Completion: Once the signed affidavit is received, certificates are made available for download and sent via email. Course completion dates are recorded in Central Standard Time (CST) and will be reflected on the certificate.
Final Exam Requirements: A minimum score of 75% is required to pass. One (1) retake is allowed.

Post-Licensing Course Details:

Course Offering: 45 hours of required education
Reporting: The state does not require course providers to report completion.
Course Expiration: Course access is generally valid for six (6) months from the date of purchase, with the exact expiration date listed in your account.
Certificates of Completion: Certificates are issued upon receipt of the signed affidavit and will be available for download and sent via email. Course completion dates are recorded in Central Standard Time (CST).
Final Exam Requirements: A minimum score of 75% is required to pass. Students may retake the final exam as many times as needed to achieve a passing score.

Continuing Education Course Details:

Reporting: Course completions are reported to the state within five (5) days of the completion date.
Course Expiration: Course access periods vary but are generally valid for six (6) months from the date of purchase. Each course includes a specific expiration date listed in your account. Courses must be completed before this date to receive credit.
Certificates of Completion: Certificates are issued immediately upon successful course completion and are available electronically. Course completion dates are recorded in Central Standard Time (CST).
Final Exam Requirements: A minimum score of 75% is required to pass. Students may retake the final exam as many times as needed to achieve a passing score.
Inactive Licensees: Licensees with an inactive status are not required to complete education. However, required hours must be completed prior to reactivating a license.
